A showcase video was produced for an annual ministerial event held in June 2014. The video was designed to communicate progress on the theme and highlight initiatives that demonstrate clear evidence of government stakeholders working to improve overall customer satisfaction. The challenge was to produce a video which inspired the audience, narrated from the voice of the customer.
In order to show how 'progress' had been achieved and where this progress had taken place at the customer connection points, where stakeholder social capital was being invested – an extensive engagement program was carried out which included: secondary research analysis; key stakeholder interviews; internal workshops; focus group discussions; and vox pops.
The intelligence from the research study fed into the storyline which helped produce an inspiring eight minute video which challenged the audience and stimulated a panel discussion around the theme. The findings from the research were used as a key driver of public policy and strategy and were presented to the Minister in a special report produced in Arabic and English.
