Client context

With chronic non-communicable diseases becoming a global epidemic and a critical problem in Qatar, our client is committed to making a positive contribution to the Qatar community by supporting a number of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives which are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Qatar's residents. Research was required to provide a deep understanding of current awareness, attitudes and behaviors of young people towards healthy eating and physical activity. A baseline measure was also needed to evaluate the impact of the CSR initiatives on the community.

Our approach

The research consisted of a quantitative survey of 1,000 face-to-face interviews with parents of children.

Outcome

The intelligence from the research fed into the communications and marketing strategy and guided strategies on how to activate parents to encourage their children to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The research also provided a baseline measurement to evaluate the impact of the CSR initiatives over time.
